I Loved this Movie.
Disney has created a great family movie that kids (and kids at heart) will thoroughly enjoy.
Moana is the daughter of the island chieftain and next in line for island leadership.
Her father had had a bad experience with the sea and forbade any venturing beyond the surf. Moana looked to the horizon for adventure, curiosity and wonder aided by her ‘crazy’ grandmother. She hears all about the island folklore and legends and learns of Maui, a demigod who lost his magical hook and became marooned on an island. Things start to go wrong with the island and its’ future sustainability with depleted fish stocks and other omens of misfortune. Moana steps up to find Maui and restore harmonious balance to the island’s future.
She makes it beyond the surf and finds Maui as they set out together on an adventure with their own motives (that don’t always coincide).
The movie has everything: a great story, great characters and importantly: a great soundtrack that has successfully infused modern catchy songs with a Polynesian island rhythm. And what surprised me most of all is that Wayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, who plays the demi-god Maui, can really sing (and had this reviewer toe-tapping and nodding along). Moana sings a memorable ‘How far l’ll go,’ and the villainous giant Crab, played by Jemaine Clement (Flight of the Concords) also surprises with a great song of his own.
I loved this movie and will purchase it for repeated viewings; as soon as it becomes available.

Amazing! This blog looks exactly like my old one! It’s on a entirely different subject but it has
pretty much the same layout and design. Outstanding choice of colors!
